Leah and I were looking in an art gallery shop window. Leah said, "Just think, Mum-if you didn't have children you could buy all those lovely things."

Leah Age 3

Leah rarely ever had tantrums  but one day she point blank refused to put on a coat and as it was really cold outside and we had far to go I insisted she put it on. We had to leave to meet her friends in town so in the end I had to call them and say Leah wouldn't get ready to go. When I came off the phone Leah simply said "Poor Marianna. She's going to miss me."

Leah age 8

"When I was in the bunk bed and it was all dark I had a feeling I didn't exist. Sometimes I get these feelings that are really hard to explain. But it's like I didn't exist". (She was smiling when she said this but still kinda profound I thought.)

Leah age 7

I was telling Leah I got a skelf in my hand (a good Scottish word for splinter) and she told me that I wasn't allowed to use foreign words as we were living in England. Time to move!
